Eyelid surgery is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that solves both aesthetic and functional problems of the eyelids. In our practice, we offer specialized treatments to keep your eyes healthy and improve your quality of life.
Blepharoplasty is one of the most common eyelid surgeries and is performed on drooping eyelids, which can make the face appear tired and restrict the field of vision.
Common complaints of drooping eyelids:
Results
After 1-2 weeks, you can resume your daily activities. The end result – an alert and fresh look – becomes apparent after about 3-6 months.
Entropion is a deformity in which the eyelid tilts inwards. The eyelashes rub against the eyeball, which leads to constant irritation, pain and an increased risk of infection.
Advantages of entropion correction:
The operation is performed in our practice under local anesthesia to permanently return the eyelid to its natural position.
Ectropion is the opposite of entropion: the eyelid, usually the lower eyelid, tilts outwards, leaving the eye unprotected. This often leads to dryness, irritation and inflammation.
Benefits of ectropion correction
The surgery involves tightening the surrounding muscles and tissues to restore the natural eyelid position.
Are eyelid surgeries painful?
No, all procedures are performed under local anesthesia, and most patients experience minimal discomfort after surgery.
How long does it take to heal?
Most patients return to their normal daily routine within 1–2 weeks. Swelling and bruising subside after a few days.
What are the risks of eyelid surgery?
As with all surgical procedures, there may be minor risks such as infection or scarring. We minimise these with experienced surgeons and comprehensive aftercare.
Can eyelid surgery improve my field of vision?
Yes, especially in the case of functional problems such as drooping eyelids, entropion or ectropion, eyelid surgery can significantly improve the field of vision.
